It was never about the haircut, it was about the standard. Every active duty service member and veteran alike knows how important getting a haircut is on that Sunday before first formation on Monday morning.
It’s ensuring they remained within a standard that they were meeting.
It’s ensuring that they are holding themselves accountable.
it’s ensuring that they are squared away.
50 veterans. One day. A small way to give back to those who gave so much.
AWWC was honored to sponsor a day of free haircuts and grooming services for veterans at Jones & Cabacoy Veteran Center in Virginia Beach. Local to Tony, our Executive Director. From WWII veterans to GWOT-era service members, we had the privilege of serving these warriors. Many of whom are elderly, living on fixed incomes, and without surviving family nearby.
Huge shoutout to Alex and Rachel from Bishops Cut and Color for donating their time and talent during the event. AWWC was proud to cover their services and provide lunch while 50 veterans received free haircuts, beard trims, and grooming.
This is your donations in action! Please consider donating so we can continue to serve those that deserve it the most.
Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness mean the most.
